District Patrol

The jurisdictional boundaries for Precinct One are almost totally within the city limits of Houston with some areas extending into the unincorporated areas of Harris County. Due to our boundaries, Precinct One works with many other agencies such as Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, other Constable Precincts and various school police departments. Since we are not the primary law enforcement agency within the city, our district patrol units are able to be proactive by targeting high crime areas with increased visibility to reduce overall crime. In addition to being proactive, the district patrol units respond to calls for service throughout the precinct. Those calls range from reports of citizen’s complaints, accidents, traffic complaints, drug activity, DWI suspects, burglaries and theft to name a few. District Units perform street patrol for area businesses, neighborhoods and supplement contracts when needed.
