The Training Division offers TCOLE-approved training for peace officers and telecommunications operators to maintain their licenses or obtain advanced certifications. Training is provided at no cost to the officer – regardless of agency affiliation.**
The Training Division provides over 400 hours of instruction annually. Courses taught include – State and Federal Law Update, Crisis Intervention Training, Civil Process, Mental Health Officer Training, Report Writing, Ethics, Police Motorcycle Training, Firearms/Use of Force Electronic Simulator, Active Shooter, SFST Update, Cultural Diversity, and others as needed.
